Tour Operators Urge for facilitating domestic and international travel
KATHMANDU, FEBRUARY 21 : Citing the continuous decline in the Covid-19 infection rates in the country, a group of the tour operators have urged for facilitating both the domestic and international travel.
It made such an appeal specifically to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation and Center for Management and Coordination of Covid-19 Crisis.
The group consisted of five members- Managing Director of Kora Tours, Bijay Amatya; General Manager of Sita World Travels, Dinam Lamichhane; President of Social Tours, Raj Gyawali; President of Arta Village Tours, Binod Lamichhane and President of Explore Himalay Travels and Tour, Suman Pandey.
According to them, the concerned authorities should not make it mandatory for those willing to visit to produce other documents except the vaccination card testifying their inoculation against the virus.
“Those tourists recovering from the disease before 2 weeks to 90 days shall be allowed to enter the country without any PCR report,” they demanded, adding, ”Similarly, there must be the provision of submitting only those documents required by destination countries, transit countries and related airlines companies for those looking to depart the country.”
