Business summits to be organised in all 7 provinces
KATHMANDU, JULY 9 : Confederation of Banks and Financial Institutes, Nepal (CBFIN)and Nepal Business Institute (NBI) have reached an agreement to hold business summits in all 7 provinces within the current Nepali year of 2080 B.S. It was signed by president of CBFIN, Pawan Kumar Golyan and executive president of NBI, Bishal Gaire, on behalf of their respective organisations during an event held today in the capital.
The proposed summits will be zeroed in on various topics like the development and upgrade of the banking sector, capital formation, growth of financial literacy, identification of new investment avenues, promotion of entrepreneurship and development and expansion of startups, etc.
According to the organisers-CBFIN and NBI- during the events, the possibility of launching projects related to such subjects in collaboration with related local/provincial governments will also be discussed.
The summits will see the participation of representatives of local and provincial governments, business/industrial fraternities, political parties, and intellectuals/experts, among others.
The apex business meets are to be commenced from the second week of the Nepali month of Ashwin and will conclude at the end of the Nepali month of Magh. Each provincial summit will have the participation of more than 30 speakers along with around 300 guests.
The organisers hope that the summits will help in resolving the serious challenges being faced by the country's economy.
