Nepalis spend over Rs 119 billion to go abroard
KATHMANDU, JULY 11 : In the first eleven months of the current fiscal year (2022-23), the spending on Nepali people to go abroad for various purposes has increased by 37.9 percent to Rs 119.99 billion on foreign travel. According to the Current Macroeconomic and Financial Situation report released by the Nepal Rastra Bank yesterday. Such spending was just Rs 87.03 billion during the same period last year.
Meantime, in the review period, the travel income saw a rise of 94.3 percent to Rs 58.06 billion. The figure was Rs 29.88 billion during the corresponding period last year.
