FNCCI Prez call for greater cooperation between China and South Asia
APRIL 17: President of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has urged for further consolditating the cooperation and collaboration between China and South Asia.
While addressing the 16th China-South Asia Business Forum in Kunming, China yesterday, he made such an appeal.
According to him, if there is a greater cooperation predicated on shared economic benefits and mutual growth between China and the South Asian region, it will enable them to effectively tackle the current challenges facing the global economy like climate change, supply chain disruption, etc.
‘Apart from working together more intensely in some of key areas like tourism, trade, agriculture, renewable energy, Information and Technology, mining, China and South Asian nations could well explore new avenues to take their mutual partnership to the next level,” he pointed out.
According to him, China's profound trade facilitation, cutting-edge logistics, transformative connectivity projects, advanced technology, investment initiatives, and burgeoning digital economy reserve capacity to unlock South Asia's immense consumer market potential.
