Probability of rain for the next three days

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 20 : The weather forecasting division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has indicated that the next three days may bring cloudy weather and rain to various parts of Nepal.

Currently, light to moderate rainfall is being observed in certain areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. During the afternoon, there is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in hilly regions, including Lumbini.

As night falls, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in specific areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, as well as a few locations in other provinces. Moreover, heavy rain accompanied by thunder and lightning could occur at isolated spots in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

For Monday, heavy rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in isolated locations within Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Similarly, on Tuesday, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain with thunder and lightning at isolated places in Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with heavy rain at isolated spots in Koshi and Karnali provinces.
