Rainfall to recede from today
KATHMANDU, AUGUST 27: The continuous rain that has persisted for the past few days is expected to decrease starting today. According to Meteorologist Sanjeev Adhikari at the Hydrology and Weather Forecast Division, the weather is gradually improving from the western region, and this improvement is expected to extend across the country.
Adhikari mentioned, "Continuous rain will cease from today, although there remains a possibility of light to moderate rain in some parts of the country." He also noted that there could be windstorms in a few areas of the Madhes and Lumbini provinces during the afternoon.
Last night, heavy rainfall occurred in one or two places of Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, and Bagmati provinces. Currently, rain is being observed in a few places of the Koshi province and one or two places in other provinces.
In its weather bulletin, the Division has forecasted the possibility of light to moderate rain in the Kathmandu Valley for today.
