Madhes Province passes its budget

DHANUSA, JULY 11: The Madhes Province has unanimously passed its budget for the fiscal year 2022/23. A meeting of the Provincial Assembly convened on Sunday endorsed the budget of Rs 46.88 billion.  Out of the total amount, 21.76 billion has been earmarked for current expenditure, Rs. 25.82 billion for capital expenditure, and Rs. 162.44 million for conditional grants.

The meeting also unanimously passed the Finance Bill, 2079 BS and the bill designed to mobilize the revenue. Finance Minister Shailendra Prasad Saha presented the bills in the meeting.
