“Nokia Nepal Innovation Day 2022” held

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 5 ; Nokia, in collaboration with the Embassy of Finland, organized “Nokia Nepal Innovation Day 2022”. The event took place today at Hotel Marriott, Kathmandu.

“Nokia established its presence in Nepal in 2017 and presently enables over 1 million Nepal households to receive high-quality Fixed Broadband service through its customer operators. It now aims to help Nepal prepare for the 5G era and be a part of the digital revolution. The objective is to reach every corner with high-quality and affordable mobile and fixed broadband, empowering unserved and underserved sections of society,” claims a press release issued by the company.

At the Nepal Innovation Day event, Nokia brought in subject matter experts to address the need and explore the ways for seamlessly connecting people, businesses, and machinery on an unprecedented scale, developing new services, and driving revenue.The main themes of the event were unleashing the 5G revolution, transforming into Digital Era with Industry 4.0 and accelerating into the Gigabit era

During the program, various experts spoke about building purpose-designed networks for industries, governments, and cities for a more agile, digital, resilient and sustainable future. The agenda included discussions around harnessing 5G for Industry 4.0 for various industry verticals including power and utility, public safety, transport, smart cities etc.

Nokia showcased its market leading solutions for Mobility, Fixed Networks, IP and Optical networks and Enterprises, and demonstrated how networks can be designed to perform at scale, adapt at pace, enhance customer experience and unlock new revenue streams.
