Minister Shrestha instructs for rescuing stranded tourists

KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 12 : Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevanram Shrestha has directed for the immediate rescue of those foreign tourists trapped in various places.

Summoning the concerned officials, including the security personnel, at his ministry in the capital today, he issued such a direction. Due to the adverse weather, especially trekkers and mountain climbers from foreign countries are stranded in Manang, Mustang. Gorkha and Upper Dolpa. According to Minister Shrestha, some of such tourists have already been rescued by security agencies.
