Traffic Police take action against more than 1,400 drivers
KATHMANDU, OCTOBER 16 : The Traffic Police have taken action against 1,407 drivers yesterday for flouting the traffic rules. Among those facing action, 446 faced the music for keeping unclear number plates and four for drunk driving. Similarly, 155 drivers faced action for over-speed, five for unnecessarily blowing horns, two motorcyclists for unusually high noise, and 788 drivers for miscellaneous traffic offenses.
The Traffic Police took action in the course of a special traffic checking campaign conducted in the Kathmandu Valley, said Superintendent of Police Awadesh Bista Chhetri, the joint spokesperson at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
