KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 1 : The placing of embossed number plates, which is considered vital for the safety of motor vehicles, reports pathetic progress. The government set a target for fixing such number plates on 2.5 million vehicles. However, so far, it has done so only on 35,000 thousand automobiles which is less than 2 percent of the set target.
The Department of Transport Management says that they continue to urge the related people to get the embossed number plates installed on their vehicles. Ishwori Datta Paneru, spokesperson of the Department, informs,"As a law enforcement body, it is requesting the service recipients concerned to do the needful implement the law
. He also mentions that they should install embossed number plates on their vehicles as it is the responsibility of all to follow the laws.
