Construction of 132 kV Arunkhola substation project begins
NAWALPARASI, NOVEMBER 6: The construction of the 132 kV Arunkhola (Dumkibas) substation has begun with the completion of the land acquisition. The USD 7 million project lies at Binayi Tribeni Rural Municipality-2 in Nawalparasi East and is expected to come into operation in two years.
. Following the construction of the double-circuit substation, local people of Madyabindu Municipality and the rural municipality will be relieved of low-voltage problems. The 132kV transmission line is expanded from Bardaghat to the project site of the Hongshi cement industry.
A conducive investment climate will be created following the construction of the substation, said the rural municipality chair Ghana Shyam Giri, adding that a significant number of businesspersons showed interest to start their businesses and industries. Apart from the country's biggest Hongshi cement industry, other enterprises and industries can take advantage of the sub-station, it is said.
