Don't charge for World Cup football, SC rules

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 09 : The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order asking the concerned not to collect any amount in the name of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The bench of Justice Prakashman Singh Raut yesterday issued such an order for not implementing the decision of Media Hub to collect Rs 500 per customer for advertisement in the name of the competition to be held on 20 November to 18 December.

The apex court called both parties for a hearing on the matter on November 13. The order comes in response to a writ petition filed by advocate Kishore Paudel to stop the decision of the media hub company, which is against the National Broadcasting Regulations. The schedule of the FIFA World Cup football tournament, which will be held in Qatar from November 20 has been announced.
