Election update : Congress wins 2 seats while UML secures one

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 22 : According to the latest results of vote counting of the election to the House of Representatives, the ruling Nepali Congress and the main opposition CPN (UML) have won two seats and one seat respectively. The Congress secured victory from Mustang and Manang districts while UML won the Lalitpur constituency No. 2 seat.

Yogesh Gauchan Thakali of Congress was elected MP from Mustang. Likewise, Tek Bahadur Gurung of Congress won a federal MP seat from Manang. Meanwhile, CPN-UML registered its first victory from Lalitpur. UML's Prem Bahadur Maharjan won in Lalitpur constituency No. 2. According to the Election Commission, as of 1 AM today, Nepali Congress is leading in 35 seats while CPN (UML) is leading in 32 seats.

Also, CPN (Maoist Center) is leading in 9 seats, Rastriya Swatantra Party in 8 seats, Rastriya Prajatantra Party in 5 seats, and 19 in other seats.
