UML leading PR category with 2,534,323 votes

KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 28: Out of over 9.3 million votes counted so far under the proportional representation (PR) category, the CPN (UML) is leading with 2,534,323 votes. The Nepali Congress is in the second position with 2,399,831 followed by the Rastriya Swatantra Party and CPN (Maoist Center) with 1,063,718 and 1,062,747 respectively, according to the Election Commission (EC). 

Similarly, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party has got 545,656 votes, Janata Samajwadi Party 326,372 votes, the Janamat Party 262,826 votes and  CPN (Unified Socialist) 252,027 votes.  According to the EC, the Nagarik Unmukti Party has secured 237,962 votes, the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party 127,918 votes the Nepal Workers and Peasants Party 72,800, and the Hamro Nepali Party 52,843,

Likewise,  Mangol National Organisation,  Rastriya Janamorcha, Nepal Sanghiya Samajbadi party  and CPN(ML) have secured  45,663 votes,  44,87 3votes,  31,229 votes and  26,971 votes respectively. 

A total of 47 parties had participated under the PR. Likewise, the EC has continued the counting of PR votes of provinces. A total of 1,584,869 votes have been counted so far in Province 1. Similarly, 1,625,758 votes were counted in Madhes Province, 1,598,434 in Bagmati Province, 918,839 in Gandaki Province, 1,859,062 in Lumbini Province, 577,829 in Karnali Province and 807,138 in Sudurpaschim Province.
