Microsoft launches "Startup Founders' Hub" program in Nepal

KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 4 : Microsoft has launched the "Startup Founders' Hub" program in Nepal in collaboration with the ICT Awards. It was launched amidst a program held at Islington College's Kumari Hall in the capital on Friday (Dec 2), will an aim to support the startup ecosystem development in Nepal.

 According to Microsoft, it has already been launched in more than 200 countries around the world.

Speaking at the public event, Md Yousup Faruqu, Country Manager for Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal for Microsoft, said that Founders Hub will help Nepali startups to reach the global level. Faruqu also requested startups to participate in the Startups Founders Hub program and take advantage of it.

Similarly, Sales Executive of Microsoft's Partners, Subash Manandhar, said that the Founders Hub was designed to develop the startup ecosystem. Veda App and Digital Edge Nepal, which joined Microsoft's Startups Founders Hub, also shared their success stories. Presenting their success stories, they said that the Founders Hub program helped them to succeed in their respective startups.

In the same program, Microsoft Security Specialist, Prashant Devaju, conducted a workshop operation technical session about Microsoft Azure. Sales Executive of Microsoft's Partners Subash Manandhar stated Founders Hub was designed to develop the startup ecosystem.

At the event, the successful startups, products, and ideas that were among the top 5 in the startup, product, and rising star innovation categories of the Infodevelopers ICT Awards 2022 shared their stories and their journey so far.

From the Founders Hub, Microsoft will give the startups Azure Credit worth 1.5 lakh, Microsoft 365, GitHub Enterprise, Visual Enterprise, LinkedIn Credit, and many other facilities as well..

Only those private software-based products and services that have not previously joined Microsoft's Startup Founders Hub program can participate in the program. Other organizations such as educational institutions, government entities, personal blogs, Devshop, consultancies, agencies, bitcoin, or crypto mining are not eligible to participate in it.

Microsoft has collaborated as an ecosystem partner in the Infodevelopers ICT Award 2022 in association with Nepal Telecom and Genesse, powered by Huawei and Smart QR program. The grand finale of the ICT Awards is going to be held on the 23rd of December 2022 at The Soaltee Kathmandu. Program Coordinator; Razan Lamsal informed that awards will be given in 13 different categories, including the South Asia Startup ICT Award. He said that the collaboration with Microsoft will help in the development of Nepal's startup ecosystem.
