Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open to tee off today
KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 6: The season-opening event of the Surya Nepal Golf Tour 2022-23, Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open will tee off today at Royal Nepal Golf Club. "The event will be played over 72 holes in which cut is applied after 2 rounds (36 holes). Only the top 21 pros and ties will make their journey to the final 36 holes along with amateurs," informs Surya Nepal by organizing an event yesterday in the capital.
At the Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open, a total of 31 professional golfers will test their skills for total prize money of Rs 670,000. The winner of the event will bag Rs 116000, the runner–up Rs 74000, and the 3rd Rs 63000. The top 21 places and ties will earn prize money. Five Amateurs will rub shoulders with the professionals in this tournament.
Nepal is number one and regular on the Professional Golf Tour of India, Sukra Bahadur Rai, Bhuwan Nagarkoti, Dhana Thapa, Sanjay Lama, and Rame Magar are the main contenders.
