Contruction of flyover to begin at Gwarko from Friday
KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 6: The construction of a flyover will begin at Gwarko in Lalitpur on Friday. This is for the first time in the country that such an infrastructural facility is being built. The Quality Research and Development Center under the Department of Roads has already prepared the architectural design of the flyover. It is being developed under the Engineering-Procurement- Construction (EPC) model. Asish Samanantar Reigar JV will be undertaking the construction task of the project.
It, which is estimated to cost Rs 170 million, will be completed within the next 20 months.
The four-lane flyover along the Ring Road will be 35 meters long. A 280-meter ramp is planned to be constructed from the Balkumari side and a 175-meter ramp from the Satdobato side.
