Indicator-based ratings offered to 14 hotels, restaurants and resorts in Pokhara

POKHARA, DECEMBER 7:The hotels, resorts and restaurants numbering 14 in Lakeside, Pokhara have lately been given the logos showcasing their indicator-based ratings. The Food Technology and Quality Control Office, Kaski distributed such logos to them in collaboration with the Restaurant and Bar Association Nepal (REBAN) and Hotel Association Nepal (HAN).

"The ratings of these facilities are based on 50 various indicators in line with the provisions of the Hotel Restaurant Rating Directive, 2074. Each indicator carries two scores," informs  Food Research Officer at the Office, Deepak Kunwar Kunwan. 

The green logos with a rating of three- star were offered to Mount Kailash, Fresh Element, Bar Peepal Resort, Hotel Sarobar, Temple Tree Resort and Atithi Resort for securing 90 plus scores

 

Likewise, Meet Five, Hour Café, Paradiso, Dunga Restrau, Moon Dance Hotel Sahara, and Hotel Iceland got the green logos with a rating of one -star (satisfactory) for obtaining  65-89 scores. 

There are also other two score-related yardsticks set by the said Directives for gauging the standards of hotels and restaurants. First, ​​​​​the green logos with a rating of two stars will be given to those obtaining 80-89 scores and just the yellow logos (general) to those obtaining 50-64 score

Chairperson of Consumers Forum Gandaki Kapilnath Koirala said the the indicator-based ratingscan be provided to other hotels and restaurants as well based on their letter of intent.
