HAN asks China to add Nepal to its tourist destionation list
POKHARA, FEBRUARY 5: The Pokhara Chapter of the Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) has urged the Embassy of China in Kathmandu to add Nepal to the tourist destination list released by China. It came up with such an appeal yesterday in response to the non-inclusion of the Himalayan nation in the list of 20 countries recently released by the northern neighbour for its citizens to travel in 2023. The very annual list came after a gap of three years due to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The Association’s Chairman also formed the Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Chen Song that Nepali tourism entrepreneurs are more than ready to welcome Chinese tourists to Nepal in 2023. According to Subedi, the association is hopeful of China encouraging its citizens to visit Nepal this year.
Thanks to strict policies put in place by the northern neighbour in a bid to control the possible spread of the pandemic, very few Chinese citizens visited Nepal last year.
