Hetauda Cement halts production becaise of technical issues
BAGMATI, MARCH 24: The government-owned Hetaunda Cement Industry has halted its production beginning from today. According to the industry management, it did so after the surfacing of technical problems in the cement kiln. Deputy General Manager of the industry, Nabin Kumar Karna, said they have already sprung into action to resolve them and the halted production is likely to resume in a week.
Thanks to the poor conditions of its old machinery and equipment, Hetauda Cement has, time and again, discontinues its production. The Industry was established by the government in 2032 BS and its commercial production had begun in 2043 BS. Currently, around 300 people are employed here.
