TAAN hopeful of new guidelines on TIMS

KATHMANDU, MARCH 2 : The Trekking Agencies of Nepal (TAAN) is hopeful that the new guidelines related to the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) would help make the trekking and mountaineering sector more safe and more secure. Issuing a statement here yesterday,  Chairperson of the TAAN, Nilhari Bastola, expressed such optimism.  The Guidelines on TIMS-2079 BS, issued by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB)  came into effect yesterday itself.

According to the umbrella association of trekking agencies, they can also help attract more investment in the tourism industry and create more job opportunities.
