Around 100 thousand foreign tourists visit Nepal

KATHMANDU, APRIL 2 : Foreign tourists totaling 99,426 entered into Nepal last March, according to th Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). Of the total number, 33,454 were from the SAARC region, 15,643 from other Asian countries, 23,265 from Europe, and 3,958 from the  ASEAN. Similarly,   1,707 Canadians, 9,557 Americans, and 10,357 belonging to the Middle East and other nations came to the country in the last month.      

The top 5 countries from where the travelers during this period are India, the US, the UK, Germany and Sri-Lanka respectively.  Foloowing the COVID-19 pandemic coming under control, the battered tourism industry is gradually recovering.
