Ministry scraps contract with construction company
KATHMANDU, APRIL 6: The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure Development of Bagmati Province has scrapped the contract signed Nagarjun-Shankarmali JV. The former did do after the latter failed to complete the construction of a bridge at Samri Rivulet in Makawanpur district even after extending the deadline twice.
The contract had been signed between the Infrastructure Development Office and the said construction in 2072 BS for completing the bridge's construction after two years. Apart from canceling it, the ministry also put the name of the company on the backlist for three years.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Yubraj Dulal, said that there was no other alternative but to cancel the contract after the work progress of the construction company was not satisfactory. The estimated cost for the construction of the bridge is Rs 53.79 million. ----
