"Special  Task Force" to probe into air acidents

KATHMANDU, AUGUST 1: The Airlines Operators Association of Nepal (AOAN) has formed a 'Special Task Force' with the aim to investigate into air accidents in the past year and present a comprehensive report within a month.

The four-member force is led by former tourism secretary Yagya Prasad Gautam.

The other three members include Captain of Heli Everest, Hira Babu Dahal; Safety Director of Yeti Airlines, Rabi Kansakar; Engineer of Fishtel Air, MK Shrestha; and former Safety Officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Narayan Dangol.

By finding out the actual causes of the accidents, the Special Task Force is expected to assist the government in adopting measures to enhance aviation safety in the country
