China Eastern Airlines to again conduct flghts between Kunming and Kathmandu
KATHMANDU, AUGUST 4: China Eastern Airlines has announced to resume regular passenger flights on the Kunming-Kathmandu route starting from August 14. For this, the company was permitted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN).
In the first phase, the airline will operate one flight per week through the Boeing 737-700 aircraft on the said route.
Before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, China Eastern had been operating seven flights per week on this route. But, as the pandemic broke out, the airline was forced to suspend passenger flights and limited its operations to cargo-only flights.
