Lalita Niwas land scam: SC orders to interrogate decision- makers
KATHMANDU, AUGUST 7 : The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an order to conduct an investigation into individuals directly responsible for decision-making, starting from the Council of Ministers at the time, as well as those who certified and executed these decisions.
The order was issued yesterday by a division bench comprising Justices Anil Kumar Sinha and Dr. Kumar Chudal.
This directive pertains to decisions made regarding the Lalita Niwas land matter during the premierships of Madhav Kumar Nepal and Dr. Baburam Bhattarai.
According to the SC's order, the investigation will encompass individuals involved in the decision-making process within the Council of Ministers, as well as those who certified and executed these decisions. Additionally, the order also calls for an investigation into individuals who escalated the proposal to a higher level or authority.
