Flights from Manthali to Lukla Airport begin

RAMECHHAP, SEPTEMBER 25: Air flights from Manthali Airport in Ramechhap district to Lukla have commenced today. Tara Air, Summit Air, and Sita Air begun operating the flights today from Manthali Airport to Lukla to accommodate foreign tourists. These airlines have introduced this route due to the high air traffic at Kathmandu Airport, particularly during the tourist season.

Currently, tourists are transported to Manthali by bus and then continue their journey to Lukla by plane. With the start of the tourist season, these airlines are expected to conduct numerous flights, assuming favorable weather conditions.

Manthali Airport, located near Kathmandu, is the only airport in the eastern region that offers refueling services and serves as an emergency landing site for planes. This development aims to improve connectivity and convenience for tourists traveling to Lukla, a gateway to the Everest region.
