Two hydel companies merge

KATHMANDU, MAY 13 :  A merger agreement has latey been signed between Ridi Hydropower Development Company and Rarang Hydropower Development Company.  The new entity forming after the merger will boast the total joint paid-up capital of Rs. 1.14 billion.

Similarly, it is required to follow the standards, codes, and guidelines issued by the Electricity Regulatory Commission from time to time regarding good corporate governance.

.The commission, which regulates hydropower companies, is encouraging hydropower companies with more or less equal investments to merge.
