Civil servants’ salaries raised by 15 percent
KATHMANDU, MAY 30: Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has announced a 15 percent hike in the government employees’ salaries from the new fiscal year. Releasing the new annual budget for the fiscal year 2022/023 today in the Federal Parliament, he made such an announcement.
"The salaries of civil servants, army personnel, police personnel, teachers, and all other government employees have been increased by continuing the dearness allowances to encourage them to maintain their sense of service.
The new salary level will come into force from the beginning of the new fiscal year. As stated in the new budget, a new Federal Civil Service Act would be brought and administrative costs would be reduced. Similarly, it talks about accomplishing administrative restructuring and ensuring good governance and effective service delivery.
