The ICT AWARD, which started in 2016, is being organized in a "sophisticated and expanded" manner every year. Likewise, the Digital Education ICT Award (Public Sector), Digital Education ICT Award (Private Sector), Digital Governance ICT Award, and Digital Services ICT Award are given to public and private organizations for providing excellent services through the use of technology. Razan Lamsal, Chairman of the organizing committee, said that the best startups at the province level have been selected via the Startup & Idea Fest program which was conducted successfully with a resounding success in all of the seven provinces in March and May this year. The Grand Finale event will also recognize the top startups from each province in addition to the 11 genres. Similar to that, one of the genres will be revealed later and will also be aimed at an international audience, according to the organizer.

The grand finale of the ICT AWARD 2022 will be held in December this year. The selection process will proceed in more than five stages in order to make this six-month-time award excellent and transparent in every way. There are 13 special advisory committees and 12 expert jury committees. Presentation of the awards, speed dating, public voting, and field trips for the top five are all included. This year, there will be more than 25 jury meetings, according to the organizers. Similar to this, a special session called "Startup and Idea Fest" will be held in Kathmandu for over 40 startups that were chosen from every province and for dozens of startups that were chosen in the third phase from the awards. Anyone can register online to compete in the ICT Awards, including competitors themselves. One must visit the official website for ICT AWARD- ictaward.org then choose the genre, and submit the online form to be considered for the award.

The advisory and jury committee made suggestions to improve the award during the discussion program held by the organizers on Wednesday. According to Dr. Ram Kumar Phuyal, the ICT Award has been established as a significant occasion to recognize people and organizations that have made outstanding contributions to the field of technology from fresh perspectives and startups and have gained the respect of all. The ICT Award, which has established a significant platform for startups and innovators to advance, has a unique charm among the awards to be held in Nepal, claims Sushil Pokharel of the Jury Committee. The grand finale of the ICT AWARD 2022 will be held in the second week of December. Award winners will receive various services and facilities with special honors. The winners of the startup category will also get a concessional loan facility and investment opportunities.
