NAC permitted to fly to Saudi Arabia
KATHMANDU, MARCH 7 :After making continous efforts for 4 years, the Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has been permitted to operate airflights in three cities of Saudi Arabia.
The national flag carrier got permission to fly to Riyadh, Daman and Jeddah by the Office of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) ( based in Riyadh) on Sunday.
The NAC, which has already opened its contact office in Riyadh, plans to conduct regulat airflights in this capital city of Saudi Arabia from April this year, Such air flights will take place three times a week. This is expected to facilitate those Nepali workers flying to Riyadh for employment .
Currrently, the privately-run Himalayan Airlines is providing air service in Saudi Arabia from Nepal.
