Tourism related businesses can now operate for 24 hours

KATHMANDU, MARCH 10 : From now on, tourism related enterprises can operate for 24 hours. The Home Ministry on Wednesday issued a circular to the district administrative offices and police across the country in this regard. The circular was issued following the recommendation of the  task force constituted under the presidency of joint -secretary of the ministry, Fanindra Prasad Pokharel.

According to Pokharel, the task force had prescribed for allowing the tourism related businesses  to operate the whole day with an aim to help butress the country's tourism sector hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.

In fact, new standards have also been set to effectively and efficiently govern the operations of the said businesses Such standards pertain to the  install of CC camera, implementation of safety protocal on Covid-19 and arrangement of human resources required for two-shift operation, among others.  It will be mandatory for discos, restaurents,dance bars, hotels, etc , to abide by them.
