Ticket bookings of long-distance vehicles for Dashain to open from Sept 17
KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 9 : Advance ticket bookings of long-distance public vehicles for the upcoming Dashain will open from September 17. A meeting recently held between the Department of Transport Management, Traffic Police, the Department of Roads, and the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs (FNNTE) in the capital made a decision to this effect.
Bijay Bahadur Swar, president of the FNNTE, informed that additional buses will be arranged considering the growth in the number of travelers during the festival. According to him, the meeting also directed transport entrepreneurs to ensure the facility of an online system for ticket booking.
He even assured that the transport fares for Dashain travelers will not be increased.
The meeting also reportedly decided to carry out monitoring of advance ticket booking and passenger vehicles leaving and entering the Kathmandu Valley during Dashain.
