Fuel price goes up
KATHMANDU, JULY 5 : The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has increased the price of petroleum products effective from yesterday. The state-owned fuel utility increased Rs 2 in the price of per liter petrol, Rs 9 in per liter diesel and kerosene and Rs 5 per liter of aviation fuel (internal).
The price of aviation fuel (external) and LPG gas cylinders has remained intact, the NOC said. The price of fuel was revised following the spike in the prices of the same in the list obtained from the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). The Corporation stated that the cost price of the petroleum products was continuously increasing and so was the payment for the purchase of the same. It is estimated that the total cumulative dues owed to the IOC would reach Rs 30 billion as of July 8.
