CAAN directs Shree Airlines to ground all aircraft
KATHMANDU, MARCH 10 ; The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has today directed Shree Airlines to ground its all aircraft until the security checks of the engines. Spokesperson of the CAAN, Jagannath Niraula, informed that the company will be allowed to operate its air flights only after the plane engines are examined by related technicians. The authority took this move after the engine of a plane of Shree Airlines flying to Bhairawha from Kathmandu yesterday showed a sign of fire.
Manager of the company, Anil Manandhar, argued that the CAAN's order for grounding the aircraft came late, thus causing trouble to the passengers of Shree Airlines today. The airline was scheduled to make 14 flights on Friday.
