Govt lifts ban on land fragmentation
KATHMANDU, APRIL 19: The government has decided to annul the ban on land fragmentation. A cabinet meeting held yesterday in the capital make such a decision by amending the Land Use Regulation 2022.
"The process of the fragmentation of land as well as its division/distribution among the related family members had stopped because of the lack of the said amendment. But it is open now," said Rekha Sharma, spokesperson of the government as well as Minister for Communication and Information Technology.
Last week, Prime Minister Puspa Kamal Dahal had said that the government would facilitate real estate transactions in order to ease the liquidity crunch in the financial system.
