BMW iX3 Electric SAV hits Nepali roads

KATHMANDU, JULY 17: Laxmi Premium Motors, the exclusive importer and distributor of BMW vehicles in Nepal, has launched BMW iX3 Electric SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) in the Nepali market.

It marks a significant milestone in Nepal's automotive landscape, showcasing BMW's commitment to sustainable mobility. The all-new BMW iX3 electric SAV has a gross high-voltage battery capacity of 80 KWh which gives it a range of up to 460 km in a WLTP cycle. The charging time for (0-80%) charge takes around 34 minutes with a 150 kW DC fast charger.

 Its rear-wheel drive motor generates a "remarkable" 210 KW of power with Gen 5.0 eDrive Technology, delivering a maximum torque of 400 Nm for a thrilling driving experience.

"Similarly, the ultimate sound experience with the Harmon Kardon Surround system boasts 16 speakers that can make every ride harmonious with a great sound system. The panoramic glass roof adds a touch of luxury as it gives an expansive view of the sky," claims a press release issued by the company. 

"Moreover, stay connected effortlessly with wireless smartphone integration, supporting both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Its stylish design compliments the SAV features 20-inch M Aerodynamic wheels that enhance its overall aesthetic appeal."

With a world-class sales and service setup established in 2020 AD at Tinkune, Kathmandu, Laxmi Premium Motors currently offers BMW X1 sDrive18i, BMW X3 xDrive 20i, BMW X5 xDrive45e (PHEV), BMW 5 Series (PHEV) and BMW 7
Series.

With the launch of the new BMW iX3 in Nepal, it is expected that it would create a strong presence in the premium EV segment as well.
