NAC pays back more than Rs 830 million
KATHMANDU, JULY 18: The Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has paid back Rs 830.95 million to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) and Citizen Investment Trust (CIT). The said amount was a monthly installment of the last Nepali month (June 16 to July 17 of the last fiscal year
The national flag carrier had taken loans from EPF and CIT to purchase two narrow body and two wide-body aircrafts. Earlier, the NAC had paid Rs 2.94 billion in monthly installments from June 15, 2022 to April 13, 2023.
Similarly, the NAC has also paid its dues to different agencies.
A press release issued by the NAC mentioned that its business volume and profits has been steadily on the rise.
An action plan is also forwarded for procurement of three small-sized aircraft with its own internal sources to provide aerial services in remote areas.
