The AGM made a decision to pressure the concerned government body to establish necessary laws regarding the standardization and regulation of oxygen cylinder quality.
Gaurav Sharda said, “Rules such as implementing colour coding, labeling, maximum filing pressure, gas formation, and periodic inspection details should be strictly enforced by the relevant authorities to ensure the safety of workers.”
The Association also decided to bring government attention to the significant import of Liquid Oxygen. According to it, there is no need to import liquid oxygen as the production of oxygen gas industries operating in Nepal is more than the demand.
"Due to the importation of liquid oxygen, the future of 28 oxygen industries operating across the country is in jeopardy. In this way, Nepal is forced to depend on India for oxygen gas.”
