Three casinos stripped off their license

KATHMANDU, APRIL 4 : The license of three casino companies has lately been annulled thanks to the failure to clear their dues pertaining to royalty and renewal fees within the given deadline .

The Department of Tourism (DoT) annulled such permit of Rock International Pvt Ltd, Happy Hour Kathmandu and Oriental Hotels (Radisson Hotel) as per the Casino Regulations 2013.

The department had given a five-day ultimatum on March 24 to the casinos to clear their outstanding arrears amount to Rs 905.5 million in total. Such ultimatum was issued after the direction of Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation.
