Public transport fares increased in Bagmati Province

KATHMANDU, APRIL 14 : Public transport fares in the Bagmati Province have been increased from today. The Ministry of Labor, Employment and Transport Management hiked such fares by 10 percent citing the recent surges in the prices of petroleum products. 

 

According to the new fare structure, passengers will have to pay Rs 20 for five kilometers, Rs 25 for 10 kilometers, Rs 30 for 15 kilometers, Rs 33 for 20 kilometers and Rs 38 for 20 kilometers and above.

 

The ministry also came up with new seperate fare structures targetting the taxis run by electricity and fuel.
