Nepal to see 4.1 percent growth this year:IMF
KATHMANDU, APRIL 27 : The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has forecast that Nepal’s economic growth rate will stand at 4.1 percent in the current fiscal year 2021/22. While unveiling a report entitled ‘World Economic Outlook’, the IMF came up with this figure.
The World Bank and the government had earlier projected the GDP growth of 3.9 percent and 7 percent respectively this year.According to the IMF, the Nepali economy could well grow by 6.1 percent in the next fiscal year.
The international financial institution also mentions that the Asia will see an economic growth rate of 4.9 percent on an average. In the South Asian region, India will register 8.2 percent growth, Bangladesh 6.4 percent and Sri Lanka 2.6 percent.
