Nepal proposes Malaysia to increase minimum remuneration of Nepali security guards
KATHMANDU, APRIL 30 : Nepal has proposed for increasing the minimum remuneration of those Nepalis labourers working as security guards in Malaysia. During the meeting with Minister for Home Affairs of Malaysia, Hamzah Zainuddin, the visting Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Kumar Shrestha, made a proposal to hike the monthly salary of Nepali security guards there to 3,000 Malaysian ringgit.
On the occassion, the two ministers also discussed various ways to further strenghen the labour relations between the two countries. Such ways pertain to conducting security guard-related training in Nepal, making zero-cost principle effective and arrangement of health, social security and 24-hour insurance facility, according to Secretary at the Labour Ministry, Ek Narayan Aryal.
