"Fire commission officials from their jobs"
KATHMANDU,FEBRUARY 21 : A committee formed to investigate into the work performance of officials of the Electricity Regulation Commission has submitted its report.
The committee submitted it to the Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Minister for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation on Sunday, according to the Kantipur Daily.
Pointing out that the professional skills and capabilities of president of the commission Dilli Bhadur Singh along with its three other members namely Ram Prasad Dhital, Rameshwor Kalwar and Bhagirathi Gyawali were below-the-mark, the probe report recommended for stripping them off their positions.
The committee was constituted on Poush 8, 2078 by the ministerial council under the chairmanship of Prakash Chandra Gajurel, former justice of the High Court. It has two other members-Bishnu Bahadur Thapa, Former Joint-Secretary and Ashish Ghimire, Former Superintendent Engineer.
The committee launched its investigation in line with the Electricity Regulation Act, 2074 B.S after the government accused the said commission members of dereliction of duty for showing poor performance.
